Brookshire is the type of player that is the epitome of the student-athlete. He is a plug and play defender and will line up wherever on the DL, but mostly got his reps at DE. His academics and test scores are off the charts and should attract many high academic schools across the country. Playing with a big club on his hands for a portion of his junior season, but Brookshire made good use of his hands still. He does a nice job of fighting off blocks. He is quick starter at the snap and plays with a lot of intensity. Offensive linemen better be ready for Brookshire when he comes out his stance. Getting even quicker at the point of attack. Moving across the LOS better and having more pursuit hustle tackles on film would certainly help, but for some of the season the 2020 recruit was out. Senior year will be huge for Brookshire, he has a solid frame to weight around 250-260 at the next level, making for a quality SDE.
