What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

A true multi purpose linebacker. Good aggressive downhill flow in the running game and, also great vision to sniff out pass plays. I can play on both sides of the ball an all around athlete.

Stokes lacks the size to play at too high of a level, but man is he a tough football player. The 2020 recruit will need to play on the outside in college, a 3-5-3 defense would be a good fit for him. He takes good pursuit angles, shows above average acceleration to the football. Tackling is good, takes down the ball carrier efficiently. He’s very effective at defending screen passes, his natural quickness allows him to get around blocks easily. Needs to get strong, fill out his frame. His coach is good at developing linebackers, it’s apparent that Stokes has a natural feel for the spot, but will need to get closer to 200 lbs. Senior year he has shown an even better IQ, putting himself in the right spot time and again. Stokes loves to play the game, and has a motor that doesn’t stop, making him an ideal player to put on special teams early on as he grows into the college game. He doesn’t have excellent speed, but natural instincts and nose for the football makes for a good defensive option against the spread offense, which should really bolster his recruiting stock during his senior year. Tackling has improved even more, Stokes is very good in the open field reading the ball carrier and does a nice job hitting the ball carrier cheek to cheek.
