Wade was one of the leading tacklers in 6A this season with around 125 on the season to go along with 500 receiving yards too. He was an easy make to the All-State HM team. So what does the 2022 do so well? He’s an instinctual player who sees the field really well and gets a jump on each play that most of his teammates just don’t really react to. Wade is a go-getter. He attacks the football as a receiver or safety. He shows no fear playing in the middle of the field, and despite not having a huge frame, he is able to deliver some big hits. Wade is a very good tackler in general. He does a good job of marking the ball carrier, getting low, and striking at the midsection where he consistently wraps up at the thighs. Wade is one of the toughest players in the class of 2022. He might not have the ideal D1 caliber frame, but the kid is a pure football player who plays with zero fear. At worse, colleges should really entertain giving Wade a PWO. You cannot teach the way he plays the game and should be an outstanding contributor as a special teams player at the next level for a major program.
