Edmond made our All-State HM list last year. He is an uber-aggressive SS prospect who plays close the LOS in high school and makes a lot of tackles for a loss. There is some similarities to Rashard Revels from Colquitt County a few years back. Goes 100% on each play, and a pretty big hitter. There are some qualities to like even more with Edmond though. For one, he is a lot more fluid in pass coverage and does a solid job of playing man coverage when called upon. Hips show natural quickness. Very good eyes reading the play and reacts quickly to the football jumping on fumbles or just hedging in the direction of the play right at the snap. Edmond definitely needs to continue to add weight. He should be over 180 by the time the 2021 season kicks off. We think he’ll impress in summer camps though, especially when in coverage. As for open-field tackling, he does a very good job of moving laterally, sliding his feet, and meeting the ball carrier low while driving his legs through the tackle.
