With Etowah putting up some huge offensive numbers in 2023, you have to look upfront on the offensive line to see where the real action happened. At around 6’6″ and 320 lbs., McNair certainly sticks out when lined up. He is a good straight-up blocker where he can get his long arms inside the pads of the defender, and just drive forward. His hand placement is solid, but needs to continue to work on his pad level. Way too often we find McNair entirely too high while blocking; he needs to sink into his hips more, work on his flexibility, and get lighter in his feet. McNair has pretty good body control while engaged, but needs to be aggressive at the point of attack. Drive his legs through the block, not be content. He can create a lot more pancakes given his immense size, and college programs want to see that. McNair is a player who has a lot of upside given his great natural size, and with the right work this offseason, he can be a 2025 OL that emerges to be one of the bigger steals late in this recruiting class.
