Navy First to Offer C’Bo Flemister

An unheralded recruit from Pike County Georgia is C’Bo Flemister, but after Navy offered this weekend, we do not expect the 2018 running back to be flying under the radar for much longer. We asked the rising senior how it felt to receive his first college scholarship.

“Words cannot express how wonderful it feels to receive my first offer,” Flemister said. “I feel honored, blessed, and relieved to be offered by such a great school as the US Naval Academy. Now that I have an offer under my belt I can focus on getting better and balling out this season.”

Flemister was one of the state leaders in rushing yards last year, going for 2,008 yards and 23 touchdowns. This offseason, he has been putting in long hours with trainer Enrique Davis from Priority Training as well as doing major work in the weight room. The Pike County star has gained about 15 pounds of solid muscle since the season ended, so we expect the exciting back to be even more explosive next season.

The 2018 recruit figures to be a B-back in Navy’s high-powered triple option attack, but most other schools will be looking at the back in a more traditional sense. Flemister does a great job of protecting the ball and keeping his pads low, and he runs with a natural forward lean to pick up additional yardage.

Another school that has been in contact with Flemister is Wake Forest. Over the break this week, he plans to visit the Demon Deacons and travel to Annapolis to visit Navy. It’s only a matter of time before more colleges begin to offer the prolific Pike County running back, so be sure to check @RecruitGeorgia on Twitter to hear the latest on his recruitment.
