Casey’s Recruitment Heating Up in Spring

Aaron Casey’s recruitment has gone from tepid to boiling in the last few months. Yesterday, West Virginia became the next school to offer the super-aggressive linebacker prospect from Alexander, making them the second Power 5 school (Iowa State on March 27) to offer in the last week.

With his recruitment really starting to heat up, we asked the hard-nosed defender what schools are showing the most interest currently.

“The schools that have been showing the most attention are probably South Alabama, Georgia Southern, Ball State, Iowa State and West Virginia right now,” Casey said.

Casey is a textbook tackler and plays with a ton of energy. Finding a player with a motor like Casey’s can be hard to find, because you cannot teach hustle, and coupling that with his elite ability to play out in space on passing downs has all sorts of FBS schools after him.

Right now, the Alexander defensive star has 11 offers, but as we enter the spring evaluation period, his recruitment could really begin to blow up. He expects to be at South Alabama next Saturday, so stay tuned to @RecruitGeorgia on Twitter to hear the latest on Casey and the rest of the gridiron stars in the state of Georgia.
