One of the top uncommitted weakside defensive ends in the state of Georgia pledged his commitment to the University of South Carolina shortly after 2 pm today at Lithonia High School. Jordan Smith is a lean athletic DE who has elite quickness that makes getting to the QB easy. His long athletic frame can stand to add some extra weight but he already has very good strength – as shown in this video from Rising Seniors practice last December…

This is a nice commitment for South Carolina, who most thought were the favorite with UGA having an outside shot, because of how well he bonded with the UGA commits.
