Willie “T” Lee III from Chattahoochee high school is a name you do not want to forget. The young lockdown cornerback looks to be one of the elite athletes from the class of ’20. Last season he cracked the varsity squad as a freshman, and this spring he has looked impressive playing on both sides of the ball, especially in their spring game against Campbell high school.
His latest film from UGA’s camp this week is just another example of his athletic prowess, and he possesses strong fundamentals that are not typically seen from a class of ’20 student. He has the perfect long angular body type that you look for in a cornerback and he shows super light feet in his backpedal. Lee viciously attacks the ball on potential receptions and in some cases the lightening quick corner has better positioning than the receiver.
The early hype is real, as are the comparisons. Many experts have already thrown out names of two recent players in the state of Georgia. One thing is for sure, the college offers are on their way. Charlotte and UCLA were the first schools to offer back at the beginning of the year, then Syracuse came in late-April, and today Southern Miss became the latest. Who will be the next?
