Green Wave First To Offer Lichon Terrell

Lichon Terrell received great news on Thursday night when the Tulane Green Wave became the first school to offer him.

The talented two-way player for Callaway High School let Recruit Georgia know what it felt like to land his first offer. “It feels great but the offer only makes me wanna grind even harder,” Terrell said.

The Green Wave have been recruiting the state of Georgia heavily after Willie Fritz took over the head coaching job six months back. Fritz’s time at Georgia Southern has given his staff a leg up in the Peach State, and the Green Wave have made smart evaluation period offers to high-potential Class of ’18 players—Terrell being one of them.

The impressive-looking athlete stands 6′ and weighs 230 pounds but is still light on his feet. Terrell is a natural at setting the edge and looks to be consistent on his tackles. He does a good job of playing with his eyes on the read option and showcases enough discipline to be formidable against misdirection plays.

A lot of colleges will project Terrell as an OLB, but do not forget that former Callaway star KeShun Freeman had very similar measurements and now plays defensive end at Georgia Tech. Quickness is coveted now for colleges, and Terrell’s 4.5 shuttle is ideal.

Terrell also let Recruit Georgia know about his summer camp plans. “(I) have been invited to the Mercer football camp and I signed up for Georgia Tech’s and Auburn’s camps.”
