Georgia Southern Offers Ellison

Georgia Southern became the first FBS school to offer Cherokee rising senior wide receiver DeMond Ellison. The athletic playmaker has been working hard this offseason, improving almost every facet to his game, so earning his first FBS offer is a big moment for him.

Ellison has been a standout target on Cam Newton’s 7 v 7 team this offseason. He was first offered by Mercer at the beginning of May and UT-Chattanooga submitted a scholarship a few weeks ago. During the offseason he has added on good weight and is now up to 200 pounds; plus he has improved his vertical to be 38″, which marks a considerable improvement.

The 2018 receiver has a big frame at 6’4″ and is really hard to jam at the line of scrimmage. He has a natural ability to track the deep pass where he does a great job of positioning himself to shield the defender away from the ball.

Heading into next season we expect for Ellison to be a lot more explosive, and to put up big numbers as the #1 primary target for the Warriors. Right now, Ellison has his eyes set on upcoming summers camps, and impressing more Division I programs, so stay tuned to @RecruitGeorgia on Twitter to hear the latest on all prospect in the Peach State.
