Gators Latest To Offer Blaylock

Dominick Blaylock was offered by the Florida Gators earlier this morning. The rising sophomore from Walton HS had a season to remember last fall, where he piled up receiving totals (41 catches for 795 yards and eight scores) not seen at the school since Michael Strickland back in 2007.

Back to present time, where Blaylock has become one of the top freshman in the country. MaxPreps rated him a First Team All-American freshman but colleges have been pursuing the big-time athlete before high school had even started.

Dating back to almost a year ago, South Carolina offered Blaylock as an 8th grader. Since then, colleges from all around the country (Michigan, Georgia, Clemson, UCLA, etc.) have offered the prolific receiver.

It’s still very early in the process but do not expect Blaylock to get caught up in all the recruiting hoopla. Walton’s head coach Mo Dixon said as much a few months back, “The notoriety at such a young age is flattering but it’s a long time before he can sign a letter of intent. His continued concentration on our team work and development must be his priority. Everyone wants a piece of him, but his family and teammates must stay at forefront. He doesn’t have to prove himself at combines. His game film, as all players, will be the resume.”

The Gators were offer #17 for Blaylock – continue to follow his recruitment at recruitgeorgia.com and be sure to follow the Walton HS football recruiting PAGE.
