Busy Spring for Sleeper Brumby

Jacob Brumby’s offseason has been a busy one to say the least. The 6’6″ 205-pound signal-caller has been working the camp circuit hard, earning All-Camp honors at the MVP Camp a few weeks back, while also impressing at the Georgia Elite Classic and The Opening Combine sponsored by Nike.

The camps have made some noise, but still no coaches have called. Colleges certainly have shown interest, and hope to get the Pickens HS star up to their campus this summer. So far this spring, Brumby has received camp invites from Cornell, Yale, Penn, Cincinnati, UGA, Louisville, and a few others.

Continuing his success this spring into the summer should prove to be a vital moment in his recruitment, and could set the table for even more offers in the coming months. Knowing that, Brumby’s goal for 2017 is about proving his skill-set.

“My goal for 2017 is working the hardest I ever had and doing whatever it takes to show coaches that I can play at the college level,” Brumby said.

This weekend he plans to compete at the Elite Georgia Showcase where he will once again hope to be a top qualifying quarterback among the competition.
