Big Breakout Senior Year for Modisett

Si’Les Modisett has a really impressive senior year where he was named first team All-Region and All-State honorable mention on our site. The two-way athlete was dynamic on offense with 60 receptions, 827 yards, and 8 touchdowns. He was equally impressive on defense with 24 tackles, 4 interceptions, and 4 pass breakups.

Statistically speaking, Modisett had a great season, and this backed up by his film at the top of the article. He worked hard last offseason, adding 20 lbs. to his frame and that has added a more explosive element to his game.

At 5’11” and 180 lbs. Modisett has a good frame to play cornerback at the next level. He is a quick-twitch athlete with a spring backpedal and makes some really nice plays attacking the football up top. He is an extremely coordinated player showing excellent hand-eye coordination looking in the football, and above-average body control contorting his body to adjust to the pass.

On the recruiting front, Modisett has been hearing from Pikeville, Erskine, Berry, Ohio-Wesleyan, and Shorter. During last summer he had more D1 and D2 programs interested, but they ultimately filled up their recruiting board before his breakout senior year.

In our opinion, Modisett is definitely an underlooked talent that should at least continue to get D2 attention even if D1 programs are too full. He is definitely a 2021 recruit to move up your recruiting board down the stretch here.
