Michael “Batman” Barrett, who arguably had the most prolific season in Class 7A last year in the state of Georgia, was offered by LSU today. The Tigers’ offer today makes them the sixth FBS program to offer Barrett to date—it’s his first SEC offer as well.

They join fellow Power 5s Maryland and Georgia Tech in pursuit of the talented rising senior, but we expect many more schools to be joining after his exceptional junior campaign in which he totaled over 4,000 yards of offense. Barrett’s father confirmed that a visit to the LSU campus is in the plans.
Prior to the LSU offer, Barrett seemed like a slight lean to Georgia Tech, making several visits to the Atlanta campus over the last year, including their recent Junior Day on the 29th. With a new offer in the fold, and an upcoming visit to Baton Rouge, a lot could change for the talented junior’s recruitment.
