2018 RB Rankings Version 1.0

article contribute by Barry Every

Version 1.0 of the Recruit Georgia RB Position Rankings starts off as a Top Ten. If you think some backs are missing they could be listed in the All-Purpose Back category.

Alabama commit Dameon Pierce of Bainbridge starts the year off at #1. This past season he carried the ball 243 times for 1,686 yards and 20 touchdowns. Pierce was also a threat as a pass catcher snagging 20 passes for 248 yards and one touchdown. He was named AAAAA First Team All-State by Recruit Georgia and the AJC.

Rico Frye may have only played six games in 2016 but he definitely left a mark on the gridiron for Creekside. Frye carried the ball 154 times for 1,025 yards and eight touchdowns while catching nine passes for 94 yards. Frye makes his entry at #2.

One of the more heavily recruited backs in Georgia comes from Northview High School. Emeka Nwanze has been named First Team All-Region the last two years and already boasts seven FBS offers. Nwanze comes in at #3.

Through the first 13 games Buford’s Anthony Grant. Jr. had carried the ball 189 times for 1,447 yards and 24 scores. He also caught 20 passes for 222 yards and three touchdowns. Grant was named AAAAA All-State Honorable Mention by the AJC.

Alpharetta’s Nolan Edmonds played 7 games this season, touching the ball 128 times for 819 yards and 13 scores. Edmonds led the Raiders in all-purpose yards and already has four FBS offers on the table.

Future Recruit Georgia position rankings still to come are APB, ATH, WR, TE, OT, OG/OC, DE, DT, ILB, CB and S.

@recruitgeorgia how do you do these rankings? I understand measurables are a key component, but all the intangibles plus productivity & strength of schedule should be high on up your list! No way Zion Custis shouldn’t be on both RB & APB list. Kid competes all year around against top ranked talent during the football season and through spring and summer at all major camps . Rivals, Nike Opening, MVP, Minority, satellite camps, etc.

Wow…so CJ Harris is a 6’0″ 203lbs back on a pass first team and still gained 800+ yards and didn’t break the top 12 for 2018, and you all have his film. Okay. Back to the lab.

At what point do you people pay attention to what they said about all-purpose back rankings coming in next week. Just shows how many parents/coaches/trainers do not know how to read or spell in Georgia.

  18. Reply Post By Ronnie Flemister

Cbo Flemister is my son and that’s the way I feel can’t nobody tell me nothing bout that and with that being said he suppose to be on both list.stats or facts.
