2018 QB Rankings Version 1.0

Version 1.0 of the Recruit Georgia QB Position Rankings starts off as a Top 10. This list includes signal-callers who are ranked in both the North and South Georgia 2018 Player Rankings.

Coming in at No. 1 is pro-style quarterback Trevor Lawrence of Cartersville. This past season, he led his team to an unbeaten record (15-0/6-0) and a GHSA AAAA State Championship. Lawrence threw for 3,904 yards and a whopping 51 touchdowns versus nine interceptions. He also added 240 yards rushing and five touchdowns on the ground. Lawrence recently gave a verbal commitment to Clemson.

Making his entry at No. 2 is dual-threat quarterback Justin Fields of Harrison. In 2016, he led the Hoyas to a 10-2, 6-1 record in Georgia’s second-highest classification. Fields threw for 2,253 yards and 18 touchdowns while adding 977 yards on the ground with 14 rushing touchdowns. He is currently verbally committed to Penn State.

Ohio State picked up an early commitment from Heard County dual-threat signal-caller Emory Jones. Heard County finished the season 8-4, 4-2. Jones missed five games this past year due to injury. He makes his entry at No. 3.

Cade Fortin of North Gwinnett comes in at No. 4. This past year, he threw for 1,841 yards and 16 touchdowns versus just three picks. He also proved to be dangerous with his legs, rushing for 512 yards and three scores. Fortin has committed to Texas A&M.

One of the hottest commodities in Georgia is Lowndes quarterback Michael Barrett. The former linebacker splashed onto the scene accounting for 4,036 yards of offense and 48 touchdowns. He most recently picked up an offer from Georgia Tech.

The Quarterback Rankings will be updated each time a new version of the North and South Georgia Player Rankings are completed.

    Go watch Ian Blankenship highlights from Telfair. Hes a great dual threat quarterback and he should be on this list

  3. Jack Mangel from Clarke Central Hs? Kid is underrated, put up pretty big numbers this season.
