2018 All-Purpose Back Rankings Version 1.0

Version 1.0 of the Recruit Georgia APB Position Rankings starts off as a Top Seven. These are the backs that double as rushing and pass receiving threats. Some may end up being slot receivers or kick returners at the next level.

Lyn-J Dixon of Taylor County comes in at #1. Through the first nine games of the 2016 season Dixon ran for 1,698 yards and 31 touchdowns on 185 carries. He also caught 25 passes for 276 yards while returning two punts and one kick for scores. Dixon was honored by both Recruit Georgia and the AJC as First Team All-State for A-Public. This dynamic back is nearing ten FBS offers.

Making his entry at #2 is Christian Turner of Buford. Turner was part of a squad that made it to the GHSA AAAAA State Championship Game. For the wolves he carried the ball 173 times for 1,128 yards and 18 scores. He currently has a handful of DI offers.

Gino Appleberry, Jr. of Creekside touched the ball 185 times for 1,431 yards while hitting pay dirt nine times. This Whirling Dervish is just starting to pick up steam on the recruiting front with one offer. Appleberry comes in at #3.

The Kell Longhorns finished (11-3) in 2016. Part of their gridiron success can be attributed to multi-talented back Josiah Futral. This past season he carried the ball 170 times for 1,169 yards and nine scores. Futral also caught 28 passes for 431 yards and two touchdowns.

Rounding out the initial Top Five is Christian Malloy of Parkview High School. In 12 games he carried the ball 104 times for 763 yards while catching 21 passes for 339 yards. Malloy crossed the goal line 11 times for the Tigers.

@recruitgeorgia needs to just stick with doing good player profiles & leave rankings alone!
There are players that need to be on the list that are not. Players that are on the list are
ranked to low, other recruiting serves 247 sports, Rivals, Scout.com,
& ESPN have some players ranked that’s not on this list!

    1. I guess I should go tell the college coaches who are offering players tonight from my rankings that they are no good and we should just stick with profiles.
