2018 CB Rankings Version 1.0

Version 1.0 of the Recruit Georgia CB Position Rankings starts off as a Top 15. This is another deep position in the Peach State for the class of 2018. Some of these young men may eventually make the move to safety.

Spiders are eight-legged creatures that secrete venom from their fangs. That is the best way to describe Myles Sims of Westlake High School the #1 cornerback in V1.0 of the Recruit Georgia Rankings. The long-limbed defender knows how to keep his opponents off balanced. Sims helped guide the Lions to a spot in the AAAAAAA State Semifinals and holds over 20 FBS offers at this time.

Christian Tutt of Thomson makes his entry at #2. This past season he led the Bulldogs to a (14-1) record and a spot in the GHSA AAAA State Championship Game. He racked up 68 tackles, four picks while returning four kicks for scores. Tutt was named First Team All-State by Recruit Georgia and All-State Honorable Mention by the AJC. He already has more than 30 scholarship offers.

Tre’ Douglas of Eagles Landing Christian Academy has the size to matchup with big receivers. As a junior he helped guide the Eagles to the GHSA-A Private State Championship. His hard work did not go unnoticed as Douglas was named First Team All-State by both Recruit Georgia and the AJC. He currently has over 20 DI offers.

Coming in at #4 is Christopher Smith of Hapeville Charter. As a junior he recorded 32 tackles, nine PBU’s and five INT’s. His defensive prowess helped guide the Hornets to the GHSA-AA State Semifinals. Smith was named First Team All-State by Recruit Georgia and boasts nearly a dozen offers.

The #5 and #6 ranked cornerbacks have already committed to rival ACC Schools. Taiyon Palmer made a commitment to the Duke Blue Devils while Donte Burton has given a verbal to North Carolina.
