Wynter Lands First Offer, Hungry for More

Jahmal Wynter, a big, athletic lineman for Henry County, was offered yesterday by Florida A&M, making it his first college scholarship offer. The rising senior announced on Twitter:

The defensive lineman has been on Recruit Georgia’s radar since we first saw him at the NUC camp a year ago, where he won MVP at his position. Wynter has the perfect frame to grow into playing a 4-technique defensive tackle or play strong-side defensive end depending on the scheme.

We asked the big man what it feels like to land offer No. 1: “It feels great everyone looks at me as a leader more than ever now. It feels great and surreal.”

After landing his first, the Class of ’17 defensive lineman is more hungry than ever for more offers. He thinks a few schools could be close. “Yes there are a few just gotta wait for them to hear I got my first offer.”

The Henry County defensive star thinks one local team could be close to offering, but he is not sure yet. Over the last year, he has put considerable effort in the classroom to boost his GPA. Based off what we have seen, there is no indication that it will not continue to trend upwards, which should convert interest into offers.
