Week 6 Standouts

Here are the Week 6 standouts from our weekend research. We have a quick write-up on each of the 10 athletes who we have selected with individual game film included, if possible.

We also have a poll for our Player of the Week directly underneath that will end Tuesday at 10 p.m. You can only vote once per hour! The winner will get a featured story on the website and a custom highlight video.

Jahsaun Clarke
2025 Norcross
Wide Receiver

After moonlighting as a QB vs Duluth, Clarke was back again at receiver and running back. Regardless of position, Clarke was the deciding factor once again, grabbing 8 catches for 165 yards and 3 touchdowns helping his team to win a 27-26 win over Peachtree Ridge. You would be hard-pressed to find an individual player in 6A making a bigger impact for his team than Clarke. Norcross goes to 4-1 on the season and Clarke is making a statement to college evaluators and folks around the state. Stay tuned.

Bubba Frazier
2026 Benedictine
Wide Receiver

Frazier had seven receptions for 164 yards and four rushes for 73 yards in their blowout 31-3 win over Westminster. He showed off his elite speed scoring on plays of 75 and 57 yards. Frazier is a junior who has seen his recruitment take off over the months with offers from Arkansas and Georgia being his most recent. Frazier has run a reported 100m time of 10.6 and a 200m of 21.7. The explosive junior will be an integral part of Benedictine’s chance of winning a 4A title and will be a prospect to watch closely when it comes to recruiting.

Logan Stokes
2025 Trion
Athlete

Trion’s Logan Stokes tipped and intercepted a pass to clinch the overtime win over North Carolina’s Robbinsville 35-28. The senior was a favorite target for QB Kade Smith, hitting Stokes for nine receptions and 100 yards. On defense, Stokes made eight tackles and recovered a fumble for a touchdown. The preseason All-State selection has proven to be among the best two-way athletes in Class A Div II. Stokes standing 6’4″ 240 lbs. is a physical specimen with impressive ball skills and blended with overwhelming strength.

Lucas Naquin
2025 East Coweta
Linebacker

East Coweta knockdown 4A’s top-ranked Perry by a score of 31-15, and senior linebacker Lucas Naquin was impressive bottling up Perry’s potent offensive attack. The 6’1″ 210 lbs. linebacker had 13 tackles, 1 sack, 5 tackles for a loss, and 3 PBU’s. Naquin is a great student with a 4.0 GPA and that translates on film, where you routinely see Naquin read the play to perfection and make a textbook tackle. The senior seemingly knew what Perry was going to run before the play even happened. Naquin was named All-Region as a junior, he camped at various D1 programs over the summer and looks to be a senior to watch closely this fall.

CJ Gray
2025 Temple
Running Back

Temple trucked over rival Pepperell 49-28, and senior CJ Gray had a huge game rushing for 215 yards plus 3 scores. Gray is an elusive back who explodes out of his jump cuts and creates bad pursuit angles for the defense. The senior had a top speed of 21.4 MPH during the game and was utterly dominant in their first region win of the season. Temple is currently 4-1, and we think they have the inside track of winning the region championship. Of course, Gray figures to be a key component in achieving that goal and more over the next month.

Kobe Lewis
2026 Kennesaw Mt.
Wide Receiver

Lewis only needed 6 catches to break the school single-game receiving yard record with 247, and for good measure, 3 touchdowns. The junior looked crisp running routes, showed good acceleration coming out of his breaks, and was just way too fast for the Lithia Springs secondary. Kennesaw Mountain won 32-8 with Lewis scoring over half of the team’s points. The 5’11” 165 lbs. Lewis shows impressive speed in the open field and will be a junior to watch closely.

Xavier Rucker
2026 Allatoona
Running Back

Allatoona defeated Dalton 42-29 and junior running back Xavier Rucker was the difference-maker. We still do not have junior film at the moment for Rucker, but he is among the rushing leaders in 5A after his 280 performance in last week’s win. Rucker is someone we highlighted last week during a recruiting recap after he did a running vertical jump of 49″. By the way, that’s still insane. The junior leaped over a defender during last week’s game, so safe to say, the metrics match with the film (or in this case a picture). Rucker is an elite athlete who will be fed well during region play, so watch out for more big games.

Carter Triplett
2025 Christian-Heritage
Quarterback

After a 35-20 win over Gordon Lee, Christian Heritage continues to 4-1 record on the year. The primary driver, senior QB Carter Triplett, who totaled over 300 yards of offense and 5 touchdowns. The senior can affect the game both with his arm and legs. The 6’4″ 220 lbs. athlete can throw a rope down the sideline and does a good job of going through his progressions. With so many talented passers in the state, Triplett is a unique blend of size, arm strength and most importantly, he is a winner. The senior reminds me of Brock Landis from 5-6 years ago out of Winder-Barrow.

Zhay’lyn Bell
2025 McEachern
Quarterback

Bell was effective in McEachern’s massive 67-7 blowout win over Paulding County. He showed off his electric arm strength converting 18/22 passes for 375 yards and four touchdowns. Bell is a huge athlete at 6’5″ and 220 lbs., who has taken the opportunity at McEachern and looked impressive as a first-year starter. The senior didn’t need to run much against Paulding County but has several explosive plays that will have college evaluators rethinking their recruiting board.

Tae Harris
2025 Cedartown
Athlete

Cedartown has proven to be among the best teams in 4A, and senior Tae Harris has been a huge factor. The Bulldogs continue their winning-ways with a 36-0 win over Cass where Harris had 81 yards on 10 carries and on defense accumulating 10 tackles with two coming for a loss. Harris has been explosive this season with several +50 yard runs on top of being a cornerstone defender in their secondary, especially when it comes to cleaning up tackles. The Clemson commit doesn’t have any senior film up yet or we would include his great game against Cass.
