Tre’ Shaw Is a Tar Heel

Tre’ Shaw, one of the best cornerback prospects in the Southeast, announced tonight that he had committed to North Carolina. The rising senior from Cedar Grove took to Twitter to announce his decision:

This is a major pickup for the Tar Heels, who had to beat out Clemson, South Carolina and Auburn for his services. Shaw had visited UNC multiple times in the last six months and was very comfortable with the staff.

His commitment to UNC is dedicated to his late grandfather William E. Credle, who pushed the young Cedar Grove star to always strive to do his best.

Shaw is rated the No. 279 player in the country and No. 30 CB according to 247 Sports. At 6′, 180 pounds, Shaw is an explosive player with great ball skills but is also a tremendous hitter. Perhaps his best attribute is how quick his hips are and how fast he squares up and changes direction.

Tre’ Shaw is the 15th commitment for UNC in the 2017 recruiting cycle and the fourth player from the state of Georgia. LIKE our Facebook page to hear about more future commitments from the state of Georgia by clicking HERE.
