McEachern linebacker Courtney Mills received three offers this week – all coming from FCS schools. Shortly after uploading his spring film (video above) on the 21st; Gardner-Webb, Coastal Carolina, and Campbell offered.
To some extent, we are extremely surprised to see only 4 offers for the class of 17 linebacker (Miami of Ohio offered back in March). Mills is a thumping linebacker with great speed and instincts to play the gaps. He could play either middle linebacker or outside linebacker at the next level due to his power and speed.
Mills stands only 6′ but weighs at 220 pounds while also running a 4.65 40 yard dash. His sideline to sideline speed is evident on film, but his raw strength is how the punishing linebacker delivers such monstrous blows to ball carriers. Mills bench presses 305 pounds, while also squatting right at 500 pounds per his HUDL profile.
Our staff is positive that more offers are to come for Courtney Mills. The rising senior showcases all the skills of a Power 5 linebacker, schools are getting hung up on his height, but he is one of the most slept on linebackers in Georgia still.
