Shiflett Lands First FBS Offer, Hungry for More

Luke Shiflett landed his first FBS offer from Troy after showing out at their camp yesterday. The Class of ’18 quarterback showcased his much-improved speed and was clocked at a 4.52 40 time and 4.21 shuttle.

Cj5Qa7BWgAAkREXThe Northwest Whitfield quarterback has improved his explosiveness and jumped a 35″ vertical. Perhaps his most impressive stat was his 6.71 three-cone time, which is at another level compared to his peers at QB. No wonder he was rated the No. 12 dual threat according to 247sports.com—the NW Whitfield QB has a set of wheels.

Head coach Josh Robinson let Recruit Georgia know that Shiflett has personally been invited to the following schools:

Wake Forest June 3
Cincinnati June 7
North Carolina June 12
Old Dominion June 16

Shiflett didn’t return home until 2 a.m. last night, but the hard-working two-sport athlete was already at a basketball gym at 7 a.m. and shortly after throwing the football until 10 a.m. He recently camped at Middle Tennessee and impressed there as well, but the Blue Raiders held off from offering.

Head coach Larry Fedora and quarterbacks coach Keith Heckendorf from North Carolina seem to be very interested in Shiflett, as well as other FBS programs, so stay tuned to @RecruitGeorgia to hear the latest recruiting news. Click HERE to visit Luke Shiflett’s profile.
