After scouting two of his receivers we were wondering who is this guy throwing the ball? Luckily he was the next profile to make and this kid can ball. He has good size, a nice touch on the ball. He anticipates the receivers breaks excellently and he moves well in the pocket, keeping his eyes up field.  He has a big frame and should put on weight quickly. Shiflett has excellent vision when running with the ball and keeps his legs churning at all times. Has a ton of potential to play at the FBS level.

2016 STATS: 2334 passing yards, 24 TDs, 8 INTs, & 190/296 | 140 rushes for 710 yards and 9 TDs

Loads of potential and present. Offensive player of the year in region as sophomore. 6’2 175 lbs and over 825 total lift. Easily an FBS player. Who’s going to notice and offer first

How’s this player been missed so far. Can’t believe people are holding offers out and haven’t sent yet. Only matter of time

Holy smokes. What a steal one of the best no offered qbs in southeast? How can the top scouting guys not rank him in 2018? I hope he goes to mvp camp and mansell and Simmons actually watch. If he were in Atlanta 5 offers minimum

Just a matter of time before this kid blows up, all it will take is him getting that first offer! Great player!

  5. Overrated

  6. How can anyone believe these reviews? Thanks to mom,dad and coach.

    1. Even if so, they were right on one thing for sure. Mansell did see Shiflett and he rated him a top 15 dual threat QB in his class. Colleges are waiting to see how big he gets I would guess.

The speed and quickness he’s shown in camps so far this year have been impressive. Couple that with a very strong accurate arm and excellent mental skills, and you can see why Georgia Southern, Troy State, Mercer, and Columbia have offered him. Lets see how his junior year goes and whether he gets any taller, and we could see some major FBS schools in on the action.

At the 7 on 7 camp at UGA this week Shiflett looked great. One UGA coach told Shiflett’s high school coach that if he was 2 inches taller they would have offered him that day.

If this kid was playing at a high school that is regularly in the playoffs like Buford, Calhoun, etc he would be even more highly recruited. NW Whitfield has never been a football powerhouse. So for him to be getting the buzz he has (I hear Penn State is the latest highly interested school) there has to be some real talent there.

Kid can make some solid throws and is mobile. Also makes good decisions based on his statistics as well. Great qualities in such a young player.

  12. Watched him compete his sophomore year in a tough region with state AAAA champ Cartersville. He was always calm and collected and did whatever his coach called on him to do. Yella Jacket is right, if he was playing for a perennial playoff team he would be one of the most highly recruited QBs in the south.
