Rodney Williams Covers his Recruitment

“Recruit Georgia helped get my name out there and also put pressure on college coaches. I recommend this to all football athletes!”

Rodney Williams, a physical corner (5’8 162 lb) from Rockdale County, seized an opportunity a few months back, by using Recruit Georgia to enhance his recruitment. Hundreds of people had visited his new RG Profile, only just days after making it.

CP25dfvWgAAwS75In fact, Williams had the 2nd most profile views from our database for all of October. He made an especially smart decision by linking his RG Profile to his Twitter account, which without a doubt resulted in the droves of visitors to his recruiting page.

With the season winding down, Recruit Georgia caught up with Williams and talked about his fall.

“I feel I played alright. I’m never satisfied it’s always room for improvement. I made some big plays and some iffy plays, but that’s all part of the game!”

Two characteristics that standout about Williams is his ability to maintain a positive attitude and his dedicated work ethic. He sets goals and is always out to reach them.

The speedy corner from Rockdale Co. understands his weaknesses, as well. “I need to get bigger and stronger. Once I do that I feel I can be an elite player at the next level.”

On the flip side, Williams touts his strengths on the gridiron to be his man-to-man coverage. “That’s all we play, so I had to become great at it.” Williams told Recruit Georgia.

When watching Williams’ SR film, you see how strong his man coverage has become. He does an excellent job of keeping his hips on a swivel, and has very good acceleration to break up passes thrown his way. Even though he lacks prototypical height, the athletic senior makes up for it with his toughness and physicality, which separates himself from others at cornerback.

The colleges showing the most interest are: “Lenior-Rhyne, Shorter, Limestone, and Morehouse.” Williams continued, “I talk to all of them about 2 or 3 times a week.”

Just a few short months from National Signing Day, and Williams top three schools are Limestone, Morehouse, and Lenior-Rhyne.

He has a planned visit to Morehouse on Nov.7 – stay tuned to recruitgeorgia.com and @RecruitGeorgia on Twitter for Williams latest recruiting updates.

Great article! No matter what Division he goes to he will be a top player at the next level. Mark my words! #RememberThisComment

    1. Agreed, I think he will make an impact no where he goes… Reminds me of Brent Grimes but like he admitted he needs to fill out.
