Commitments

Henry Kofowo
2021 Stone Mt.
Murray State

Scoop: It wasn’t too long ago that we mentioned Kofowo as one of the sleeper OL in the state of Georgia. At 6’3″ and over 300 lbs. he moves very well getting up field to make blocks. Kofowo has strong hands at the point of attack, very good placement and uses his good balance to drive the defender out of the play. We really like his upside, and think Murray State got a complete steal here.

Sleeper of the Day

Kyler Johnson
2021 Cartersville

Johnson is a transfer from Tennessee who got some quality reps last year at WR for Cartersville. The coaching staff is very high on him being sure to make note of him when we talked earlier this year in May. Johnson has a big frame, and makes some smooth cuts. His ability to play the football deep, timing his jump at the apex is really impressive. Johnson gets full extension and uses all of his 6’2″ frame to make a play on the football. I’m even more impressed with his broken tackles after the catch. He just steps out of them and shows good balance thru contact. He has good versatility moving to different receiver spots and his general size suggest he could be around 215-220 in college. Johnson is very physical, but he also shows light feet with his route running and does a good job of selling his routes. In some cases, he turns DB’s completely around comebacks. Johnson is definitely a physical talent, he lacks the vertical speed but looks like a solid possession receiver at the next level. Right now the 2021 receiver has offers from Long Island, North Alabama, SEMO and UT-Martin with some additional interest from UT-Chattanooga too. Just pure conjecture, but you have to think Kennesaw State will take an interest to him if they have not yet already; Johnson is a perfect fit for their offense at 6’2″ and 190 lbs and a good blocker in space too.
