Welcome to another edition of the Recruiting Recap! Thanks for those who stopped by, and if you are new here, this is a feature where we discuss all the recruiting action from yesterday in the state of Georgia. We tally up offers, commitments, players who are heating up (if applicable) and of course our sleeper of the day.
Should be a solid recap, and thanks to everyone who stops by every day to check it out! In other news we have seen a good interest in our team pages, and after a website update yesterday, we are ready to start churning out more.
Outside of that, we are continuing to work on some longer term projects, as well as getting our 2022 NCAA subscription database up and running for schools to use. Colleges interested in our 2021 or 2022 databases reach out to recruitgeorgia1@gmail.com for more info.
Stay safe out there and mask up! Cases are currently trending down, but we got to do our part! – David
Holden Staes
2022 Westminster
Penn State
Scoop: Staes is one of the top tight ends in the entire country. At 6’4″ and 225 lbs. he moves like a wide receiver, and also the focus of a good run blocker. Being in a predominantly run-heavy offense, even his QB last year was really a running back by trade, scouts still might be underestimating the potential impact the 2022 tight end can have at the college level. It’s no question the class of 2022 TE here is special, and Staes ranks right at the top. He is a great pick-up for Penn State, we fully expect him to be a multi-year starter for the Nittany Lions.

Sleeper of the Day
Luke Balsczyk
2021 Alexander
The 2021 OLB prospect shows a good motor and gets after the ball carrier in pursuit. He gets downhill when getting into the backfield, right at the snap Blasczyk is jumping into the backfield and mixing it up. Solid speed, definitely blitzed a good bit. Looking at his frame, I think the 2021 OLB needs a little more work in pass coverage. Good productivity this year so far, he lands about 4-5 tackles per game. He has good instincts stopping the run for sure, but would like to see production against the pass improve now. Tackling is solid, he wraps up at the waist and gets pretty low. Working on lateral quickness is an area of improvement, and will be looking for improvement in that area this upcoming season here. At 6’2″ and 205 lbs. Blacsczyk has good size, and the flexibility to play any of the linebacker spots honestly. He’s still looking for his recruitment to take off, but the senior is getting some heavy interest from the local school in Kennesaw.
