Sleeper of the Day
Nasan Houston
2025 OLB
Cross Creek
Houston was one of the state leaders with 16.5 sacks on the year and he even forced 4 fumbles on the year too. Amazingly, 1/3rd over half of his tackles resulted in a loss. The Cross Creek defender is a well-put-together athlete standing around 6’2″ and 230 lbs, which is a nice 20 lbs. increase from last year. Watching him sprint out to the sideline, it’s clear that Houston is swift to the football. He has D1 acceleration, and honestly, looks like a linebacker with how quickly he can chase down the ball carrier. His reported 9’6″ broad jump is very impressive. Houston does need to improve his tackling, getting lower with his strike and not arm tackling as much as he does. His production in 2023 was amazing, especially when you consider that he plays in a more run-oriented region. He will certainly catch the attention of college scouts. Houston did receive his first D1 offer by way of Charleston Southern in March 2024, and that has continued into the camp season with offers from Tuskegee, Howard, and most recently Wofford where he camped and earned one soon after. We would like to see Houston continue to work on getting off blocks and getting quicker with his hands and feet. At the end of the day, he is a no doubt D1 athlete with the type of versatility to play several positions at the next level depending on how he fills out.
Commitments
Ethan Gurela
2025 Roswell
James Madison
Explosive 6’3″ tight end prospect who can release quickly up field. Gurela is capable of slipping by defenders with ease and shows good blocking in open space. We like Gurela as a sniffer or slot TE at the next level for James Madison.
Osiris Gilbert
2025 Peachtree Ridge
UConn
High-upside cornerback prospect who showed flashes at Buford with excellent speed and ability to recover from mistakes. Tons of upside as a field cornerback who looks effective in man coverage.
Cayman Reynolds
2025 Sonoraville
East Carolina
The 6’5″ 235 lbs. TE prospect visited East Carolina last week and soon after committed to the Pirates. Reynolds has P4 size and athleticism for his position with some great ball skills to boot. This is a major steal for ECU.
Ryan Bell
2024 Mt. Zion-Jonesboro
Bethune-Cookman
The 2024 graduate finally finds his spot. One of the leaders in sacks and tackles for a loss in the state for the 2023 season, Bell showcases a crazy motor after the football. Bethune-Cookman earns a last-second commitment for this recruiting class that could end up being a huge steal.
Jackson Deloach
2025 Lambert
Navy
One of the best pure blockers in the class of ’25, Deloach is perfectly built to executes Navy’s option heavy attack. Deloach is explosive at the point of attack and relentless as a blocker going until the whistle is blown. He is a prototypical Navy run blocker.
Kobe McInnis
2025 Wheeler
Navy
The Wheeler edge had 14 tackles for a loss and 8 sacks during his junior campaign. At around 6’3″ and 225 lbs., McInnis has a great motor getting after the ball carrier and does an excellent job of leveraging his long arms to set the edge and cause havoc.
Antoniyo Smith
2025 Lovejoy
Jax State
The 6’5″ Lovejoy defensive lineman has a ton of positional versatility at the next level depending on how he continues to fill out his frame. Smith is though bull-rushing utilizing his long arms to drive back the offensive lineman. He can be an All-Conference performer for Jax State in a few seasons.

Rising junior Nick Burden updates with his first 10 offers. The 6’1″ 180 lbs. two-way player shows shades of Dutchtown legend Trey Dean, so we feel that additional Power programs will enter the picture.

I’ve seen a lot of buzz surrounding rising senior receiver Bryce Brown out of Union Grove. The quick slot receiver has been making a name for himself during this offseason at various 7v7’s and college camps. He’s on vacation this week and still putting in work.
