Recruiting Recap 6/19

Welcome to another edition of the recruiting recap! I hope everyone had a productive week so far and is ready for the weekend!

If anyone is new here, this feature covers all of yesterday’s commitments, decommitments, offers, three players who are heating up (not today tho) and today’s sleeper pick. Offers are definitely in the decline compared to a month ago, thinking that college programs are taking a little time off before July, which is usually the dead period.

Just another reminder to wear a mask! Cases are increasing here in Georgia – June 8th was our largest increase in new cases so far with over 1000 in one day. We will be making some athletic masks here for sale soon, so be on the lookout!

College coaches: hit me up about our premo recruiting database or continue to checkout our 2021 database which is updated daily with new profiles. Our 2022 and 2023 rankings will be released around the 4th of July.

Sleeper of the Day

Tyler Davis
2021 North Paulding

Davis packs the punch when he goes in for a tackle and does a terrific job of driving his legs through the attempt. Textbook tackler, the 2021 recruit does a great job of getting low on his attempts and explodes through the hips. Definitely the best overall player from this class at North Paulding. One of the best pure tacklers in this class too. He takes on blocks from much bigger athletes and knocks them back, even planting a few OL to the turf. Davis is a big hitter, but just has modest size, that puts him in between a SS and OLB at the next level. Davis has added about 15 lbs. this offseason and quickly approaching 200 lbs going into his senior year. Really impressed how he gets downhill defending the run. Need to see more of Davis in pass coverage, but definitely like how he is filling out. Davis’ only offer at the moment is from Benedictine College. In our eyes he is a D1 level talent.
