Heating Up

Malachi Madison
2022 Cedar Grove

Madison might not have entered the 2020 season with a ton of hype, but he quickly showed he was a D1 talent right away. In the Milton game he stood out dominating the middle showing a quick swim move and looking very quick laterally. Madison has generated a lot of momentum recently receiving offers from Coastal, ECU, Howard, Penn State, Iowa State, Georgia State and FAU. The string of P5 offers is really just scratching the surface, and we fully expect the 6’3″ 290 lbs. DT to be in double-digits in the coming weeks.

Sleeper of the Day

Dami’On Thompson
2022 Pebblebrook

Damion Thompson was lacking in the weight room when he first filled out the form back in spring of 2020, but over the last year he has added 15 lbs. of muscle to his frame. We like the wiggle we are seeing with the 2022 receiver. He has some legit running vision, sets up defenders well and explodes after his initial cut. Good acceleration into his top speed. Thompson had a really good 2020 season, and shows the creative-elusiveness that you look for in D1 athletes. Pretty long-running stride with the potential to break off long plays. Needs to work on route running, that’s the next step for Thompson, but overall you have to be blind to ignore what Thompson has done here in 2020, and the film stands the D1 test. He made a pretty big jump in gaining weight over the last year, but still has room to improve in the weight room, so definitely, a player to watch closely during this offseason and see how he continues to develop. Thompson already has offers from UAB and Troy from late January.
