Sleeper of the Day

Brayden Foster
2026 Whitewater
Edge

Foster was one of the leading pass-rushers in Class 3A accounting for 10 sacks and should be a notable prospect during this offseason. The 6'3" 225 lbs. edge rusher is all intensity. Right out of his stance Foster times the snap well. He keeps his pad level low and angles his shoulders around blockers, slipping through the gaps to create havoc. With around 15 tackles for a loss, Foster was a good producer in creating negative plays. The 2026 prospect does a nice job getting leverage, using the strongside hand to great effect. Taking a jump with his acceleration and continuing to sharpen up lateral quickness should be a focus this offseason. He needs to live on a ladder each day this offseason. Foster's hustle after the football is unmatched. He just keeps after it, and by taking another jump athletically you should yield the hardnosed edge on a potential All-State caliber season. On the recruiting front, Foster will garner more and more attention during this offseason. As of now Cornell and Yale have offered. He will make his recruiting hay during the April-May evaluation period, so the focus should be getting more explosive. Plus a 78" wingspan will impress college coaches up front and personal. Overall, we are confident the 2026 edge defender will continue to grab D1 program's offers and could accrue more interest from FBS programs during the summer camp season. Whitewater has enough talent to play in the 3A semis next fall, so that could lead to more attention for Foster, especially if he has +15 sack season.

Three 'N Out

Brookstone SR Jaxson James was named to the Chattahoochee Valley Sports Hall of Fame earning the G.R.I.T. award. He talks about his achievements in the post below. The standout linebacker, who also excels on the wrestling mat, has been a 4-year starter at Brookstone on the gridiron and on February 5th signed with Shorter. They certainly landed an excellent student-athlete who will make an impact.

Velocity Football held their annual big man 1v1 competition last Sunday and will be sending film to all of the participants via email soon. The event has grown in popularity over the years, even grabbing the attention of players down in south Georgia to travel over to their Canton facility. Although we did not attend, this is the premier event for young linemen in the state while also providing top-level training.

Lowndes is looking for a few more schools to participate in their padded camp in June and July. Please follow the post to read more and contact head coach Adam Carter ASAP.
