Recruiting Recap 11/13

Welcome to another edition of the Recruiting Recap! Thanks for stopping by, and if you are new here this is a feature where we cover the latest recruiting news across the state of Georgia. So any offer, commitment or decommitment, that we can find, will be reported here. We also have a ‘heating up’ feature and a ‘sleeper of the day.’

That’s it. Hope everyone is ready for a great Friday night of football! Check out the website from stories earlier this week, and also stay tuned for our weekly predictions this afternoon.

Also, I’ll be live-tweeting this afternoon from 1-5 pm, so college coaches tune in. – David

Heating Up

Gamarion Carter
2021 Stephens Co.

The Liberty commit is seeing a surge in his recruitment here. Middle Tenn and Georgia Tech offered yesterday, and that is on the heels of a Vandy offer from the 10th as well. Anyone who has seen Carter’s scouting report on this site knows we think he is a P5 talent. It was more of a surprise the lack of interest during the offseason leading up to this fall. Carter has a lanky body and is almost 6’4″ with a near 40 inch vertical, and we consider him to be an elite athlete. Carter has some of the best big-play upside of any receiver in the state. We expect more schools to jump in now.

Sleeper of the Day

Christian Moss
2021 North Cobb

Moss bounced between JV and varsity back in 2019, so has slipped under the radar over the last year, but senior year he is playing like an FBS football player. Moss is a pretty solid route runner, and looks fluid coming in and out of his breaks. So far his senior year Moss has really ramped up his game, and seems to be grabbing up 100-yard games each week, and that’s against FBS caliber competition at CB. We thought Moss would be set for a big senior year, and that has been the case. College offers have followed with Mizzou State, Gardner Webb, Jacksonville State, and Bryant offering this season. So far, that’s all FCS schools, but we are sure that FBS schools are on the verge of offering here. Moss has gained nearly 15 lbs. in the last year, the added weight has been huge, and we are seeing a much more physical Moss. He’s also attacking the pass better, and going up and using his height. Moss is a smooth athlete for sure, his long-running gait can stretch out a defense. There is still a lot of room for Moss to grow, and we fully expect him to be well over 200 lbs. in the next year or two.
