Sleeper of the Day

LeFabian Williams III
2025 Chapel Hill
Athlete

The 6’5″ 245 lbs. two-way player at Chapel Hill found ways to make an impact throughout the last few seasons. Williams has the frame that almost every D1 program looks for with guys on the edge. He has good length, and although his pad level needs work, he does a nice job of getting underneath his opponent’s pads. You can see the raw upside on both sides of the football, but it does seem that his general mindset is more built around the offensive side of the ball. Williams is an excellent blocking TE who shows nice leg drive and motor while engaged. He keeps after the defender, driving them upfield. Sticky hands and the length is a difference-maker. Although Williams has no film catching the football, his blocking does impress, and considering his frame, and general motor, that is probably the best position. So in some ways, despite no receiving film this season, Williams is an underrated blocking TE. Plus, he could potentially gain more weight and become an offensive tackle too. Williams is a raw football player but the upside is just too enticing.

Three ‘n Out

Premier 2026 edge rusher Katrell Webb has announced his top 12 programs. The Collins Hill product was showcased earlier this season on the site after a 4-sack performance in a win against Grayson. Webb’s recruitment will be fun to watch and see where he picks in the coming months.

Lambert’s Branson Brooks was named the ScoutSmart student-athlete of the week in the GHSF Daily newsletter. Last year, Brooks was an All-State pick on the site and the state’s leading tackler. He playing great this season with a total of 91 tackles so far. The senior is now 15 lbs. heavier than last year and one of the best textbook tacklers in his recruiting class. Brooks has received interest from the Academy schools during the last evaluation period, including an Army offer, but local programs will be more involved down the stretch we feel.

Mt. Pisgah JR TJ Umenyiora will be visiting Troy this weekend. What makes this visit uniquely cool is his father, Osi, will be an honorary captain for the Trojans during the coin toss. The long defensive back has looked great this season, making explosive cuts on the football and securing several interceptions including a pick-six against Fellowship Christian. At 6’2″ and 185 lbs., we feel Umenyiora will be attracting FBS offers soon enough, maybe even landing his first one this weekend, who knows?
