Recruiting Recap 10/26

Welcome to another Recruiting Recap! I hope everyone had a great weekend filled with our glorious sport, football. We are back at it over here again tallying up all of the weekend’s offers, commitments, and of course our sleeper of the day too.

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to continue to do so each weekday. Going from Mon-Fri we will post these recaps around 10 AM, so stop by and see what is happening in the recruiting world here in Georgia. Of course, if you are a college coach, we offer a more premium recruiting service that is NCAA compliant but feel free to explore the site and look at our public profiles as well.

We have a lot of content coming this week, so let’s start this week with a bang! – David

Sleeper of the Day

Israel Nwokocha
2021 Lovejoy

Another Nwokocha making his way through Lovejoy, and the 2021 defender seems to have a great nose for the ball. He is quick out his stance, showing a natural ability of timing the snap. That’s by far the most impressive part to his game, and how he is able to beat double teams. Cannot deny his production either. He just flat out whooped OL with his quickness. He does a nice job of slanting through the gaps and a pretty solid tackler when meeting the back. time and again you see Nwokocha time the snap better than all of his teammates, it’s really no coincidence at this point. I would like to see him get lower on his tackles. He played a lot of DT last year and really has the build to either play OLB or DE even in a specialized role. He is now up to 220, so he could be an undersized edge rusher. I would like to see him work on getting his pads lower, work more on getting leverage. Very solid player for sure, and love the hustle he has. Dude is relentless. He has been going off his senior year and is on pace to be one of the sack leaders in Georgia on one of the best defenses in the state.
