Sleeper of the Day

Jordan Johnson
2025 Cambridge
Defensive Lineman

Johnson has been playing great this season for one of the best teams in 4A. The senior defender has a D1 frame at 6’4″ 250 lbs., and shows an excellent motor after the ball carrier. Good hand placement, showing a lot better activity with his hands getting off blocks and driving his legs through the offensive lineman. Shows a good swim move with solid quickness in his hands and feet. Johnson has taken an athletic jump getting off the line, and you see him close the gap faster than ever. Does a nice job wrapping up the attempt and driving his legs. Johnson has made a nice jump on film, looking more refined with his hand placement and footwork, which makes a difference in getting off blocks. This season, he is playing more physically; there is a discernible difference from his junior film. He played some TE as a junior, leaking out to the flat but seems like senior year he is exclusively at DL. Overall, you have to like his general hustle and with his current frame, he should continue to fill out and be a DT. His frame wouldn’t be terrible at OL, especially with an 80″ wingspan, but aside from his TE film from junior year where he is blocking, Johnson seems like a DL, which is the likely area of impact in college. That’s where he has improved the most over the last year, and it’s very evident in his senior film.

Three ‘n Out

I have to keep talking about Dublin senior Xavier Bostic. The do-it-all athlete was huge in their blowout win against Bleckley County rushing for 132 yards on 10 carries and also had 8 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, and 1.5 sacks. The two-way player has helped Dublin to a #2 ranking in Class A Div I and if Bostic continues his stellar play, then by season’s end he is positioned to make All-State.

The Milton football team helped out the Special Olympics on Monday. CJ Wiley shared some great photos with his teammates bonding with the participants while soaking in the great Georgia weather. Great stuff by the Milton football program showing empathy and love for everyone.

ITG Next announced its top performers yesterday evening. The list includes many familiar names that we have covered over the last few months. ITG Next does a great job of covering the state, especially in the South, where they do live streams on Friday night. It’s a very cool media outlet.
