Sleeper of the Day
Alquan Wheeler
2025 Peachtree Ridge
Defensive Line
At 6’4″ and 260 lbs., Wheeler has a frame that will catch the attention of D1 programs. He has fairly long arms too, and though he needs to improve hand placement and pad level, which would help a lot with getting better leverage on the offensive lineman. He does show good activity working off his blocks. Wheeler has a lot of tools to build on and is very much under the radar for now. He shows good activity, and pretty strong hands at the point of attack. There are good moments where Wheeler has solid fundamentals in a 1v1, beating with a swim move over the top and then rushing the QB. Wheeler has a lot of upside, and as he continues to fill out his frame, his physicality and size should provide a college with an SDE who can control the edge or he might just grow into a full-time defensive tackle. Watching him work off blocks, sticking with the ball carrier, and making solid tackles suggests that even if Wheeler is raw, he has the mindset to become a solid defensive lineman at the D1 level.

Three ‘n Out
Virginia DT commit Sichan John did an insane lift yesterday jerking 350 lbs. The Hebron Christian lineman is probably the strongest guy in the state, squatting over 635 lbs. last offseason, which translates to the field where he crushes the middle. This lift though is insane.
350!! I’ve seen a lot of crazy weight lifted in my lifetime but haven’t seen a 350 jerk in high school!@coachdowning1 @SpencerGArnold pic.twitter.com/l4AGlhV6dk

JR DB Eddie Guerra ran one of the fastest top speeds we have seen all season with a 22.5 MPH run. The 6′ 171 lbs. junior has a pick-six and 2 pass breakups on the season. The Thomas Co. Central defender has received a lot of D1 interest so far, and with elite speed to the football, you can see why. Guerra is relentlessly pursuing the ball carrier and will be a prospect to watch moving forward.
Who said football speed isn’t fast? 🤫 🎱@titansensor @coachwaites @CoachMattPearce @CoachKlineAlex @CoachArchieC @CoachSplintaQ @MacreynoldsRyan @CoachGalambos @RecruitGeorgia @Coachcal_King @Josh_Dunson @MrTNT21 @GHSnewssports @PrepRedzoneGA @Glenn_Spencer @CoachSafford https://t.co/rh37FiHKQt

Big Tim Griffin announced his top 8 schools yesterday with Alabama, Florida, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Florida State, Georgia State, Tulane, and Ole Miss on the list. Griffin is a prospect we have often talked about over the last 8 months, and his breakout recruitment has created a lot of buzz around his potential at the P4 level. At 6’5″ and 255 lbs., the senior has a legit frame to become a dominating defender at the next level.
