Sleeper of the Day
Luke Snyder
2025 Irwin Co.
Quarterback/ATH
Snyder has looked impressive during his senior year. He spreads the football around to his receivers and executes the Irwin County at a high level. He is great at selling his fakes, leaving the defense paralyzed for a big play. The Indians are playing great football too, currently sitting at the #2 spot in Class A DII. Snyder’s efficiency and understanding to run the offense shines on each possession but where we are most impressed is his general athleticism. At around 6’3″ and 185 lbs., Synder is a two-sport athlete who excels on the baseball diamond and is a long-striding athlete hitting speeds up to 21 MPH. He has an effortless throwing motion and a nice touch on his deep passes. Snyder is an offensive weapon, and honestly, Irwin County will almost certainly increase the senior’s workload during the state playoffs. His big play ability has led to plenty of big scores; both through the air and on the ground. The senior has a 34.2″ vertical jump and a 4.1 shuttle and is one of the best athletes in Class A DII. College evaluators should honestly think about the Irwin County senior as a wide receiver or free safety even. He is a D1-caliber athlete and a proven winner. Snyder will be a prospect to watch closely, and we can see options teams taking a heavy interest in his ability to play QB too.

Macon County sophomore RB Jakeyveon Parker has been blowing up in the recruiting world with offers from Auburn, Southern Cal, Alabama, Kentucky, and Florida State in September. The 5’10” 198 lbs. back just released his midseason film yesterday, so you can get a good feel for all of the recruiting hype. Parker has excellent balance to bounce off tacklers and continues to keep his feet while showing good acceleration into the 2nd level. Of course, we have seen clips from Parker going back to middle school, so we did have high expectations for the 2027 running back, and so far, he has met them.

New Hampstead SR wide receiver Kamari Maxwell had a game for the record books. The receiver had the 4th best performance in state history with 302 yards on 21 receptions and 3 touchdowns. Maxwell made a few elite plays, a great one being in this tweet below where he rotates around and catches the ball in the back corner. Maxwell has a great connection with SR QB Rashawn Truell, and they have been nearly impossible to stop this fall.
Didn’t come up with the win unfortunately but I had a great game against the previous State Champions in 4A

The GHSA announced they will extend the regular season by one week to November 8th and will forgo the built-in bye week during Thanksgiving break. Here are some coaches talking about the best course of action before the announcement by the GHSA today.
If I’m @OfficialGHSA I go ahead and push EVERYONE back a week out of abundance of precaution. You have the time actually built in with the off week for Thanksgiving 🤷🏾♂️ #ImJustTheMessenger though

Needs to happen!
A bye in the middle of the playoffs was monumentally stupid to begin with but it might be a lifeline for a lot of programs in the CSRA and 912 to get their season in https://t.co/xGjd5aIRAO
