Amari Jackson
2022 Eagles’ Landing
Jackson was a do-it-all wide receiver/cornerback for Eagle’s Landing who has seen offers from Nebraska, Miami, Georgia Tech, and Boston College over the last week. Jackson has great body control, outstanding acceleration and just a smooth athlete rotation his hips and adjusts to passes whether he is one defense or offense. Jackson is quickly becoming one of the more coveted defensive back prospects in the class of 2022.
Sleeper of the Day
Wesley Bentley
2021 Upson-Lee
Bentley does a solid job of playing with his hands getting a good initial push that allows him to knock the offensive lineman off balance. Already at 250 lbs., Bentley shows good versatility upside at the next level – granted he carries his weight very well. Had himself a very good junior season followed up an All-State caliber senior year where he was a classification leader among tackles for loss and sacks. Plus he led all DL in tackles in 3-A. Bentley shows very good quickness playing out in space too at OLB, which is unique for a player at 250 in HS ball. Bentley’s versatility is eye-catching and he has the ability to play in multiple defensive fronts at even different positions at the next level. He basically doubled his production from junior to senior year. Bentley is a unique defender with a lot of positional versatility to fill out spots in different alignments, which should be held at a premium. Bently is now up to 260 lbs. He received a mixture of offers from Fayetteville State, Cumberlands, Mars Hill and Shorter, but in our opinion more D1 and D2 need to re-evaluate the 2021 recruit.
