Heating Up

Benjamin Hall
2023 North Cobb

With Michigan and Cincinnati coming into the offer fray yesterday, it looks like Hall’s recruitment is really starting to heat up. The powerful 6′ 225 lbs. running back out of North Cobb now has offers from South Carolina, Charlotte, and Georgia State on top of the last two. Hall is a really impressive power back showing good wiggle in tight spaces and the acceleration to burst beyond the line of scrimmage for big chunks of yardage. He is an excellent student with a 4.0 GPA and someone the North Cobb coaching staff just gleams about. Hall should really start to see the FBS offers pile on, but in general, we expect some high-academic programs to be offering Hall soon.

Sleeper of the Day

Michael Haynes
2022 Brookwood

Haynes is a tough cornerback who is very aggressive and likes to get inside the jersey of his opponent. He is pretty good at changing directions. Acceleration is solid. Definitely, a pretty good tackler in the open field reading the ball carrier well from a distance and doing a good job of closing the gap while taking solid pursuit angles. Haynes is a good all-around hustle type of player. He finds his way around the football a lot creating turnovers. Very smart player in coverage recognizing route trees and making good adjustments on the fly. Looks solid in a zone defense especially. Plays all over Brookwood’s defense due to good football IQ. Haynes doesn’t have burning speed, but he is skilled and the type of player we suspect FBS programs will be interested in offering a PWO. You have to like his heart and the aggressiveness he plays the game with. He’s been a leading tackler over at Brookwood the last few years, and cannot deny his pure instincts for the game. Technically speaking, we are impressed with Haynes man coverage skills – he always seems to impress even at summer camps/7v7’s. The senior finished the year with 73 tackles, 4 interceptions, 2 FF and 10 PBU’s, which earned him All-State HM on our website. Haynes has offers from Presbyterian, Reinhardt, and Mizzou Valley over the last few months. Fundamentally he is an undervalued player here in the state of Georgia.
