Quintarius Neely was a new transfer to Roswell this season, and for some, there would be a transition to new surroundings and teammates. Not for this senior. Neely had a massive season, accounting for 3,198 yards passing and 671 rushing—just under 4,000 yards of total offense!

NEELYIf anyone was wondering how good Roswell would be this season with Neely at quarterback, then look no further than Game 1 against Lowndes. Neely was prolific in that game, making defenders miss left and right while spreading the ball to his offensive teammates. The spread offense was rolling, and Roswell ended up winning 34-7, looking like legit state contenders in the process.

For a quarterback whose creativity is on display every play, Neely’s transition as Roswell’s signal-caller was seamless. Neely led the Hornets to an undefeated regular season and a region championship, eventually falling short in the state championship game against Colquitt County. A smooth transition, that is for sure.

Watch Neely on film, and you see all of the important attributes of a spread-option quarterback. He is a quick decision-maker, spreads the ball to his teammates and has the creativity and elusiveness to ad lib big plays.

So far, Army, Alcorn State and Tuskegee have offered the athletic dual-threat quarterback. The updated version of his film is on his RG Profile for coaches interested.

With National Signing Day less than a month away, a lot of commitment-switching could lead colleges’ recruiting boards to drastically change. It will be interesting to see leading up to NSD where Neely and other seniors will end up, so stay tuned to Recruit Georgia for the latest recruiting news.
