McKenzie was an explosive slot receiver last fall for Blessed Trinity. With the ability to break down defenders like a running back, the 2025 receiver is dynamic after the catch. McKenzie weaves around the defense bouncing back and forth between blockers. He does a good job of setting up his blockers, which is why he is such a threat on special teams. McKenzie gets low on his cuts and explodes upfield. You have to love his pad level. Mckenzie bounces off tackles showing solid balance while taking on contact. He is a good route runner, especially in short yardage. No doubt, the 2025 prospect is a smart runner and was featured in the backfield a handful of times; one play comes to mind where he gashed the defense down the middle for a 50-yard score. Seeing the 2025 prospect get more reps in the backfield would be nice. Either way, he displays really solid hands and is a good route runner with an impressive change of direction that creates a lot of separation. Continuing to sharpen up his skills, fill out his frame, and we think the 2025 slot receiver should be a dependable playmaker at the next level.
