Whittington is among the active leaders in receiving yards going into the 2024 season. The shifty 2025 receiver is lightning-quick coming out of his release. The 2025 receiver has light feet and explodes coming out of his breaks. Shows very good route running, and you have to like the urgency he shows getting upfield digging into the coverage. Whittington uses his top-end speed to get by the defensive secondary and routinely just runs deep routes. His speed should translate well to the next level, and at around 5’9″ and 160 lbs., that is a necessity. He’s gained about 15 lbs. and an additional inch over the last year. Whittington is effective after the catch making nice elusive cuts in space. He keeps his feet moving through contact and his above-average balance catches defenders by surprise, so he consistently gets extra yardage through determination. The Habersham athlete is a ball player, he wasn’t even healthy in 2023 and still amounted 862 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns. A healthy senior year, and Whittington could very well eclipse 3k receiving yards during his career, putting him in historic company.
