Zai Jackson has been a much talked about RB dating back to his freshman year even at Washington-Wilkes. Jackson does a very good job of picking up his feet in between the tackles. He steps out of a lot of tackle attempts, and overall I really like the leg drive and determination to get extra yardage. Jackson doesn’t appear to get much room to operate as a runner, but when he does get some light he has above average speed and acceleration to break off a chunk of yardage. He does a solid job of making jump cuts at the LOS and doesn’t appear to lose much speed. I would say the biggest thing with Jackson is just getting stronger, and breaking tackles instead of just getting a yard or two after contact. He does do a good job of falling forward, and that has to do with his solid forward lean as a runner.
