Pearson stands about 6’6″ and is slowly adding to his frame. There are some general characteristics to like about the 2024 recruit. For one, he shows good urgency when blocking on the field. He is solid getting to the 2nd level and keeping his hands inside the defender’s pads. He is a solid blocker in space but would like to see him get a bit quicker in the feet. Pearson keeps a pretty flat back while engaged and shows above-average leg drive. We would like to see him get stronger in the lower body, and a little more flexible for that matter. Pearson needs to sink into his hips more when pass-blocking. There is a lot of upside considering his size, and Pearson has been working hard this offseason to sharpen up his fundamentals, so we are hopeful to see his skill set on full display this fall. Finishing off his blocks more consistently is an area to watch this fall. Pearson is an excellent student, so we think strong academics like the Ivy League programs being all about him.
