What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

i’m really athletic good football iq

Joiner was among the most productive of any defensive lineman last year in Class A DI. The 2024 defensive tackle prospect primarily lines up at end in Irwin County’s 3-4, but at the next level, we think he will have to slide into the middle regardless of scheme. Joiner has a high motor, and you’ll routinely see him get around blockers from the weak side and continue to pursue the ball carrier making a backside assisted tackle. Those sort of plays are so valuable from your defensive line, and Joiner’s motor allows the 2024 recruit to get those spots. He has a low center of gravity and excellent body control getting off blocks. Joiner is also a heavy weight wrestler, and throughout the season he improved each weekend, which supports the hard worker he seemingly shows on the gridiron. He finished #2 in Class A D1 heavyweight class losing to one of the best pure wrestlers in the state. Joiner has a nose for the football. We really like his reactions to the play, he gets out of his stance pretty fast. He’s made a considerable jump with his power clean since last fall, and we are expecting to see Joiner more explosive than ever. Joiner still needs to clean up his tackling, rely less on arm tackles, and continue to get quicker with his hands and feet getting off blocks. We are very high on the work ethic and football instincts of Joiner, he was an All-State selection on our site as a junior and the improvement in his athleticism should yield great results in 2022.
