Steiner is the strongest running back in the state of Georgia bar none, and his ability to side step defender while accelerating down field at his size is unique. This recruiting class is stacked at RB, and the Houston Co RB ranks right up there with the best. Once Steiner gets a head of steam he can absolutely destroy a secondary defender attempting a tackle. The 2020 running back gets low with his pads, and already showing a promising stiff arm. Steiner is patient using his blocks, it’s where he improved the most last season. iI you watch his film vs Warner Robins you can see no yards are easily earned. His wide frame gives him a low center of gravity, and he does a nice job of keeping his pads low before contact. The young back has a lot of upside, a great body composition for a 2020 back, and if he gets a proper hole, he hits it hard. He’s still growing into his body some, but we like the grit he runs with already and think he could make a tremendous jump from sophomore to junior year. Steiner is a 2020 back absolutely on our radar. Expect Houston County to lean heavily on Steiner this fall, and to be well over 1000 yards rushing on the season.
