Bailey is a wide body athlete who played a little on the DL and OL last year for his team. No doubt, he got a lot of reps, and I think it says a good bit about his endurance. Bailey doesn’t explode out his stance, but shows a good motor in pursuit of the football. Needs to be more consistent with energy on the field. Plays with good leverage, really uses his length well and gets good extension thru the blocker. Bailey will be playing a lot of DT next year for Hughes, as the Region Defensive Player of the year is now graduated and headed to Georgia Southern. His feet need to quicken up. Doesn’t shows good lateral quickness, but still a pretty high production year in terms of getting tackles for loss. Bailey should pour on weight in a college setting. He has the right frame to add good weight, and I think should be very close to 300 lbs. Needs to be stronger at the point of attack and work on core strength. He does a good job of occupying space, and reads the play well breaking off the OL to close up the gap – that’s consistent on film. For a DT, he really produced a ton of tackles, but it should be noted that Hughes defense was on the field a ton in 2018. On the flip side, their defense was one of the absolute best in the classification. Since last fall, Bailey has added 15 lbs to his frame and now up to 265. This offseason, his feet look a lot quicker right out his stance, def a player to checkout this fall in the early season. No senior film, at all, not sure what is up, but only workout videos being posted.
