Johnson was one of the best all-around defenders in his classification over the last few years. The way he can defend a screen pass is remarkable, and the 2020 recruit looks more like a safety jumping the pass than a linebacker. He jumps the hole and hits harder than most linebackers we have scouted, and almost unseen at his 5’8″ 180 frame. Johnson is the monster who sleeps under your bed at night – he must give opposing offense nightmares. Figuring out a position for Johnson is what colleges will need to do because the 2020 recruit is a true football player, you can just tell by the way he plays the game that he loves it. It’s truly amazing the amount game-changing plays he made over the years. At the next level he’ll have to play NB or I guess WILL – he shows the speed to continue to develop in pass coverage, and his football IQ is great, so I’m sure he can figure out the new position wherever he ends up. Johnson made All-State on the site – his ability to make plays is unique for his size on the defensive side of the football.
