Malone had a solid junior year, and watching his film right off the ball you see the 2020 recruit show good balance going through tackle attempts. He makes concise cuts, gets up field pretty quickly. I like how he square his shoulder pads up field and does little dancing with the football. Malone has a unique running style, honestly would like to see him drop his pad level a good bit, but there is some rather intriguing to how he totes the rock. He’s a tough player who fights for yardage after contact. He has some natural instincts at reading the hole and making cuts at the line of scrimmage. Overall his speed is just okay, there is obviously some room for improvement in that capacity. He does accelerate quickly, would like to see him pick up his feet more with his running stride. Solid APB, becoming a bigger part of the passing game senior year will help with his recruitment, he could take another athletic jump over the next year, so definitely a recruit to monitor throughout this year.
